Shane Hines – Songwriter | Producer | Educator | Artist

Shane Hines doesn’t just write songs—he builds them from the ground up. A powerhouse in the music industry, he’s spent years crafting and producing songs in the Pop, Rock, Country and Americana genres. With a deep well of experience, Shane’s songwriting career took him to Nashville, where he spent seven years as a staff writer, working alongside top-tier artists and writers.

His collaborations read like a who's who of the industry—writing with Lori McKenna, Heather Morgan, Jim McCormick, Jim Lauderdale, Brad Tursi, Megan Conner, and more. His songs have landed on Netflix, ABC, MTV, and VH1, and have been recorded by artists like Steve Holy, Matt McAndrew, Abby Nicole, and Django Walker.

Beyond writing, Shane is a producer, artist and educator, bringing songs to life with his  signature blend of grit, honesty and polish. His production work reflects his deep understanding of melody, emotion, and sonic texture—skills honed over a career that spans multiple bands, 12 full-length records, and 6 EPs. 

After his time teaching at the Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester, Virginia, Shane found a real love for helping others master the craft of songwriting. Seeing his students grow in their talent was incredibly fulfilling, and now he’s bringing that same passion to a wider audience through his online courses.

A John Lennon Songwriters Contest Finalist (2009,2020, 2022) and judge for American Songwriter's Magazine, Shane’s reputation as a music craftsman is undeniable.
